DTEK Holdings Limited has increased its stake in PJSC Zakhidenergo from 10.5838% to 57.1871%, the press service of the National Commission on Securities and the Stock Market has reported. The share of Energy Company of Ukraine shrank from 70.1035% to 25%.
As reported, on January 10, 2012, the State Property Fund of Ukraine recognized the Donbass Fuel and Energy Company (DTEK) as the winner of a tender on the sale of a 45.103% stake in Zakhidenergo for UAH 1.932 billion.
After that, the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) granted the permission for DTEK to buy the energy supplying company.
Zakhidenergo is the fifth-largest energy generating company in Ukraine with an installed capacity of 4,708 megawatts, which is about 9% of the total capacity of Ukrainian electricity.
